Lisa Martin, John Furrier, talking with AWS partners ecosystem folks, customers, AWS folks, you name it. Next up, one of our alumni, rejoins us. Please welcome Anshu Sharma the co-founder and CEO of Skyflow. Anshu great to have you back on theCube. >> Likewise, I'm excited to be back. >> So I love how you guys founded this company. Your inspiration was the zero trust data privacy vault pioneered by two of our favorites, Apple and Netflix. You started with a simple question. What if privacy had an API? So you built a data privacy vault delivered as an API. Talk to us, and it's only in the last three and a half years. Talk to us about a data privacy vault and what's so unique about it. >> Sure. I think if you think about all the key challenges we are seeing in our personal lives when we are dealing with technology companies a lot of anxiety is around what happens to my data, right? If you want to go to a pharmacy they want to know not just your health ID number but they want to know your social security number your credit card number, your phone number and all of that information is actually useful because they need to be able to engage with you. And it's true for hospitals, health systems. It's true for your bank. It's true for pretty much anybody you do business with even an event like this. But then question that keeps coming up is where does this data go? And how is it protected? And the state of the art here has always been to keep kind of, keep it protected when it's in storage but almost all the breaches, all the hacks happen not because you've steal somebody's disc, but because someone enters through an API or a portal. So the question we asked was we've been building different shapes of containers for different types of data. You don't store your logs in a data warehouse. You don't store your analytical data in a regular RDBMS. Similarly, you don't store your passwords and usernames you store them in identity systems. So if PI is so special why isn't it a container that's used for storing PII? So that's how the idea of Pii.World came up. >> So you guys just got a recent funding, a series B financing which means for the folks out there that don't know the inside baseball, must people do, means you're doing well. It's hard to get that round of funding means you're up and growing to the right. What's the differentiator? Why are you guys so successful? Why the investment growth, what's the momentum driver? >> So I think in some ways we took one of the most complex problems, data privacy, like half the people can't even describe like, does data privacy mean like I have to be GDPR compliant or does it actually mean I'm protecting the data? So you have multiple stakeholders in any company. If you're a pharma company, you may have a chief privacy officer, a data officer, this officer, that officer, and all of these people were talking and the answer was buy more tools. So if you look around behind our back, there's probably dozens of companies out there. One protecting data in an API call another protecting data in a database, another one data warehouse. But as a CEO, CTO, I want to know what happens to my social security number from a customer end to end. So we said, if you can radically simplify the whole thing and the key insight was you can simplify it by actually isolating and protecting this data. And this architecture evolved on its own at companies like Apple and other places, but it takes dozens of engineers for those companies to build it out. So we like, well, the pattern will makes sense. It logically kind is just common sense. So instead of selling dozens of tools, we can just give you a very simple product, which is like one API call, you know, protect this data... >> So like Stripe is for a plugin for a financial transaction you plug it into the app, similar dynamic here, right? >> Exactly. So it's Stripe for payments, Twilio for Telephony. We have API for everything, but if you have social security numbers or pan numbers you still are like relying on DIY. So I think what differentiated us and attracted the investors was, if this works, >> It's huge. every company needs it. >> Well, that's the integration has become the key thing. I got to ask you because you mentioned GDPR and all the complexities around the laws and the different regulations. That could be a real blocker in a wet blanket for innovation. >> Anshu: Yes. >> And with the market we're seeing here at, at your Summit New York, small event. 10,000 people, more people here than were at Snowflake Summit as an example. And they're the hottest company in data. So this small little New York event is proven that that world is growing. So why should this wet blanket, these rules slow it down? How do you balance it? 'Cause that's a concern. If you checking all the boxes you're never actually building anything. >> So, you know, we just ran into a couple of customers who still are struggling with moving from the data center to AWS Cloud. Now the fact that here means they want to but something is holding them back. I also met the AI team of Amazon. They're doing some amazing work and they're like, the biggest hindrance for them is making customers feel safe when they do the machine learning. Because now you're opening up the data sets to more people. And in all of those cases your innovation basically stops because CSO is like, look you can't put PII in the cloud unprotected. And with the vault architecture we call it privacy by architecture. So there's a term called privacy by design. I'm like what the, is privacy by design, right? >> John: It's an architecture. (John laughing) >> But if you are an architecture and a developer like me I was like, I know what architecture is. I don't know what privacy by design is. >> So you guys are basically have that architecture by design which means foundational based services. So you're providing that as a service. So other people don't have to build the complex. >> Anshu: Exactly. >> You know that you will be Apple's backend team to build that privacy with you you get all that benefit. >> Exactly. And traditionally, people have had to make compromises. If you encrypt the data and secure it, then you can't use it. Using a proprietary polymorphic encryption technology you can actually have your cake and eat it to. So what that means for customers is, if you want to protect data in Snowflake or REDshare, use Skyflow with it. We have integrations to databases, to data lakes, all the common workflow tools. >> Can you give us a customer example that you think really articulates the value of what Skyflow is delivering? >> Well, I'll give you two examples. One in the FinTech space, one in the health space. So in the FinTech space this is a company called Nomi Health. They're a large payments processor for the health insurance market. And funnily enough, their CTO actually came from Goldman Sachs. He actually built apple card. (John laughing) Right? That if we all have in our phones. And he saw our product and he's like, for my new company, I'm going to just use you guys because I don't want to go hire 20 engineers. So for them, we had a HIPAA compliant environment a PCI compliant environment, SOC 2 compliant environment. And he can sleep better at night because he doesn't have to worry what is my engineer in Poland or Ukraine doing right now? I have a vault. I have rules set up. I can audit it. Everything is logged. Similarly for Science 37, they run clinical trials globally. They wanted to solve data residency. So for them the problem was, how do I run one common global instance? When the rules say you have to break everything up and that's very expensive. >> And so I love this. I'm a customer. For them a customer. I love it. You had me at hello, API integration. I love it. How much does it cost? What's it going to cost me? How do I need to think about my operationalizing? 'Cause I know with an API, I can do that. Am I paying by the usage, by the drink? How do I figure out? >> So we have programs for startups where it's really really inexpensive. We get them credits. And then for enterprises, we basically have a platform fee. And then based on the amount of data PII, we charge them. We don't nickel and dime the customers. We don't like the usage based model because, you don't know how many times you're going to hit an API. So we usually just based on the number of customer records that you have and you can hit them as many time as you want. There's no API limits. >> So unlimited record based. >> Exactly. that's your variable. >> Exactly. We think about you buying odd zero, for example, for authentication you pay them by the number of active users you have. So something similar. >> So you run on AWS, but you just announced a couple of new GTM partners, MuleSoft and plan. Can you talk to us about, start with MuleSoft? What are you doing and why? And the same with VLA? >> Sure. I mean, MuleSoft was very interesting customers who were adopting our products at, you know, we are buying this product for our new applications but what about our legacy code? We can't go in there and add APIs there. So the simplest way to do integration in the legacy world is to use an integration broker. So that's where MuleSoft integration came out and we announced that. It's a logical place for you to swap out real social security numbers with, you know, fake ones. And then we also announced a partnership with SnowFlake, same thing. I think every workload as it's moving to the cloud needs some kind of data protection with it. So I think going forward we are going to be announcing even more partnerships. So you can imagine all the places you're storing PII today whether it's in a call center solution or analytics solution, there's a PII story there. >> Talk about the integration aspect because I love the momentum. I get everything makes secure the customers all these environments, integrations are super important to plug into. And then how do I essentially operate you on my side? Do I import the records? How do you connect to my environment in my databases? >> So it's really, really easy when you encrypt the data and use Skyflow wall, we create what is called a format preserving token, which is essentially replacing a social security number with something that looks like an SSN but it's not. So that there's no schema changes involved. You just have to do that one time swap over and then in terms of integrations, most of these integrations are prebuilt. So Snowflake integration is prebuilt. MuleSoft integration is prebuilt. We're going to announce some new ones. So the goal is for off the table in platforms like Snowflake and MuleSoft, we prebuilt all the integrations. You can build your own. It takes about like a day. And then in terms of data import basically it's the same standard process that you would use with any other data store. >> Got to ask you about data breaches. Obviously the numbers in 2021 were huge. We're seeing so much change in the cyber security landscape ransomware becoming a household word, a matter of when but not if... How does Skyflow help organizations protect themselves or reduce the number of breaches so that they are not the next headline? >> You know, the funny thing about breaches is again and again, we see people doing the same mistakes, right? So Equifax had a breach four years ago where a customer portal, you know, no customer support rep should have access to a 100 million people's data. Like is that customer agent really accessing 100 million? But because we've been using legacy security tools they either give you access or don't give you access. And that's not how it's going to work. Because if I'm going to engage with the pharmacy and airline they need to be able to use my data in multiple different places. So you need to have fine grain controls around it. So I think the reason we keep getting breaches is cybersecurity industry is selling, 10s of billions of dollars worth of tools in the name of security but they cannot be applied at a fine grain level enough. I can't say things like for my call center agent that's living in Phoenix, Arizona they can only verify last four digits, but the same call center worker in Philippines can't even see that. So how do you get all that granular control in place? Is really why we keep seeing data breaches. So the Equifax breach, the Shopify breach the Twitter breaches, they're all the same. Like again and again, it's either an inside person or an external person who's gotten in. And once you're in and this is the whole idea of zero trust as you know. Once you're in, you can access all the data. Zero trust means that you don't assume that you actually isolate PII separately. >> A lot of the cybersecurity issues as you were talking about, are people based. Somebody clicking on something or gaining access. And I always talk to security experts about how do you control for the people aspect besides training, awareness, education. Is Skyflow a facilitator of that in a way that we haven't seen before? >> Yeah. So I think what ends up happening is, people even after they have breaches, they will lock down the system that had the breach, but then they have the same data sitting in a partner database, maybe a customer database maybe a billing system. So by centralizing and isolating PII in one system you can then post roles based access control rules. You can put limitations around it. But if you try to do that across hundreds of DS bases, you're just not going to be able to do it because it's basically just literally impossible, so... >> My final question for you is on, for me is you're here at AWS Summits, 10,000 people like I said. More people here than some big events and we're just in New York city. Okay. You actually work with AWS. What's next for you guys as you got the fresh funding, you guys looking for more talent, what's your next mountain you're going to climb? Tell us what's next for the company. Share your vision, put a plug in for the company. >> Well, it's actually very simple. Today we actually announced that we have a new chief revenue officer who's joining us. Tammy, she's joined us from LaunchDarkly which is it grew from like, you know, single digits to like over nine digits in revenue. And the reason she's joining Skyflow is because she sees the same inflection point hitting us. And for us that means more marketing, more sales, more growth in more geographies and more partnerships. And we think there's never been a better time to solve privacy. Literally everything that we deal with even things like rove evade issues eventually ties back into a issue around privacy. >> Lisa: Yes. >> AWS gets the model API, you know, come on, right? That's their model. >> Exactly. So I think if you look at the largest best companies that have been built in the last 20 years they took something that should have been simple but was not. There used to be Avayas of the world, selling Telephony intel, Twilio came and said, look an API. And we are trying to do the same to the entire security compliance and privacy industry is to narrow the problem down and solve it once. >> (indistinct) have it. We're going to get theCube API. (Lisa laughing) That's what we're going to do. All right. >> Thank you so much. >> Awesome. Anshu, thank you for joining us, talking to us about what's new at Skyflow. It sounds like you got that big funding investment. Probably lots of strategic innovation about to happen. So you'll have to come back in a few months and maybe at next reinvent in six months and tell us what's new, what's going on. >> Last theCube interview was very well received. People really like the kind of questions you guys asked. So I love this show and I think... >> It's great when you're a star like you, you got good market, great team, smart. I mean, look at this. I mean, what slow down are we talking about here? >> Yeah. I don't see... >> There is no slow down on the enterprise. >> Privacy's hot and it's incredibly important and we're only going to be seeing more and more of it. >> You can talk to any CIO, CSO, CTO or the board and they will tell you there is no limit to the budget they have for solving the core privacy issues. We love that. >> John: So you want to move on to building? >> Lisa: Obviously that must make you smile. >> John: You solved a big problem. >> Thank you. >> Awesome. Anshu, thank you again. Jeff Frick here with theCUBE. We're in downtown Seattle at the AWS Imagine Educate Show. It's a public sector show. It's the first time they've ever done it really focusing just on education as opposed to the regular public sector show or the AWS Summits and re:Invent that you're very familiar with. We're excited to be here. One of the big themes here is colleges partnering with high schools. And we're excited to have our next guest really talk about how that's working in this program. We have Howard Stahl. He's a professor at Santa Monica College. Howard, great to see you. >> Thank you. >> And with him is Koda Kol. He's a teacher at Roosevelt High in East L.A. and also an adjunct professor at Santa Monica College. Welcome. >> Thank you. >> So, let's just jump into it. There's a big conversation about training people for the next generation of cloud skills. It's good for the kids, it's also good for the employers, it's good for Amazon, it's good for their customers and their partners. How are the kids feeling about this? How is this program being accepted by kids? Is it cool, is it something they want to do? How hard of a sell is it? >> The students are engaged. They're learning something that is immediately relevant to societal's demand. Our students, they're setting up, spinning up web servers, file servers, even VPN, and the VPN servers is going to disrupt the way schools strategize and implement security, because now when they go back to the high schools they're bypassing all these web securities using VPN. >> Right. >> But they really do love it. The students seem to really drink it up. >> They get it. >> Yeah, they do. >> So is there a particular classification of app or of all the different things that you're teaching 'em, database, security, this or that, that resonates more than others or what is it that connects to what they do every day that makes them think, "Hey, this is cool, I engage "these things every day. "What a great career to get into." >> Yeah, I think, they see Amazon in their daily life every day. Delivering them stuff, making them buy stuff, having them deliver things. And they can see as they peel apart the layers and see behind the scenes how Amazon actually gets that done. >> Right. >> And it seems immediately relevant to them. >> Right. >> And so the student interest has been fantastic. >> Been fantastic. And Koda too, I think it's always the thing too with, especially the kids when they're in high school, 15, 16 right, they're starting to get a little bit of attitude. "Why should I read 400-year English novels Dad, "how's that going to help me in my job?" or "Why am I taking chemistry, I don't want to be a doctor? "I get it I got to take it to get into college "but I don't really want to take Chemistry." This is probably something a little bit different in terms of direct visibility into the application. I mean, those other things have applications too, you just don't see it when you're 15. But this they can see, right? They can see how it's going to directly impact them in a positive way. >> Yes, and it also puts everyone at the same playing field. Students that normally fail their English classes, Math classes, now they're in the same classroom and learning content where everyone is on the same page. So, you got your high performing students also with your students that are failing a class, trying to discover what they want to do in life. >> Right. >> They're together, they're working together. Find a common interest and excelling, engaged and asking for more. "Where can we take more classes? "This is what I want to do, "this is where I want to be." >> That's great. Another thing, we were just at a high school competition called Technovation earlier this week where mainly girl's teams from all over the world building applications. Same kind of a thing. Get 'em involved in an application that they can really see a difference and they get it. And I wonder if some of your kids talk about, everybody wants to be mission driven today, and kids want to do stuff that has a higher impact on society, right? We've got four different garbage cans we have to sort our stuff in 'cause we want to be renewable and take care of the environment. Do they see that software is the easiest way to make a huge impact globally, do they get that? >> They get that, they see it. They're instantly creating servers in 5-10 minutes. Going on their servers, setting up websites. They see the relevance. They're taking advantage of the technology. >> Yeah, that's great. So Howard, I wonder if you could speak a little bit about how a partnership with AWS enables you to do things that you wouldn't be able to do if they weren't helping in this whole process? >> At SMC we've been working with AWS for about four years now to spin up this program. The partnership has been fantastic. AWS has been really giving and helpful. They helped train faculty. So we got professional development from them. Now, as part of this program students get credits on the platforms. Faculty get credits on the platform. They've been helping us with advertising and all kinds of other great things and it's really been a wonderful, wonderful partnership, really fantastic. And that industry connection really makes a big difference in making the program succeed. >> You mentioned something I want to follow up on in terms of the staff. We talk a lot about the kids here and the impact on the kids and their education, but I'm curious to get your take on how this has impacted the staff. This new classification of learning if you will, around cloud computing specifically. This subset of computer science which has had a hard time squeezing in between science and math, especially at the high school level. But how are the staff, the teachers taking to this? Do they see this as a great new opportunity? A bunch of new skills to learn? That's got to be kind of invigorating for them, I imagine as well. >> I think so. I think it's really invigorated people who've been around. It keeps us on our toes, makes us learn new things. It's very exciting for many of us and it has been great. And the wonderful thing about computer science is that it changes a lot. As I often say in math, "They haven't invented any new numbers." But in computer science, what I learned when I was in school. Oh my gosh, things have changed a great deal. And so there's a commitment to keep current. And in the community colleges definitely we try to keep our curriculum current with what industry needs. >> Right, I think it's a really great statement on the role of community colleges, in a very specific role to help match skills with needs in jobs. I mean just really concrete, really straightforward, really kind of a simple mission. >> Yeah, and Amazon actually has connected us with local employers near SMC that have helped us validate our curriculum and actually are very interested in hiring the graduates out of our program right away, 'cause there is such a dearth of industry talent in this particular field. >> Which is great, just to close that loop, right. And if I recall, your certificate program is the model now that's been rolled out to all 19 of the L.A. community colleges. >> Yeah, so this program has really spun up, and become much, much bigger than just one particular college. So we developed a number of classes at SMC and a certificate, and we're using that now as a model throughout L.A. county to bootstrap AWS skills in all the local community colleges. 19 other colleges are working with us. >> Right, right. Agreeing to run the same classes at their institutions. And that's very exciting as well. They've also agreed to find local partner high schools to work with as well. So we're really trying to build a hub of AWS experience down in L.A. in what we call "Silicon Beach". >> Right, right. And then the goal ultimately is to get an associate program, right, over some period of time when you get whatever the certification is, or that process. >> Yeah, so we're working on building an AA Degree in cloud computing as well. >> That's great. Koda, you look like you had something to jump in there. All good? >> All good. >> Okay, good. So I want to give you the last word in terms of what would you say to educators that are not in L.A. about what this type of program has brought to you, and more importantly your students in your everyday life at Roosevelt High? >> It has changed the lives of many students. It's changed my perspective on how I see education because in fact it was a little difficult getting the students to be engaged initially, but ever since we launched this cloud computing every student, we can't get enough classes, sections, open. We open one section up and it gets filled. The students are in class. They want to learn the material. It's a good time to be in education. I love it. >> Well good. Well thanks for sharing the passion, it comes through. >> Well the passion starts with our department chair, Howard Stahl here. He's very passionate and it resonates with all the staff members, which resonates with the students. So now we have the synergy that's happening that we hope to eventually distribute to all the other campuses, and make a model. Use Santa Monica as a model. >> Great. I'm Stu Miniman, happy to have a distinguished panel of guests on the program. Starting down of the fair side, Steven Jones whose the Director of Solution Architecture with AWS, helping us talk about how AWS gets to market is Chris Wegmann, Manager and Director of Accenture, and then super excited to have a customer on the program Chad Anderson is the IT Director of Operations at Del Monte Foods. Gentleman, thank you so much for joining us. >> Thanks for having us. >> Alright Chad, we're going to start with you, talk to us a little bit about your role inside Del Monte and really the journey of the cloud, something we've been talking about for years, but Del Monte has an interesting story. I want to kind of understand your role in that. Start us off. >> Ya so I oversaw the project for us to migrate everything to AWS. We started off with just needing to really understand if were missing something here. Like, shouldn't we be moving to the cloud and that ended up in a study where we just kind of went threw the numbers, we looked at what the benefits were going to be and it kind of just turned into a obvious choice for us to do it. >> Back us up for a second, give us you know your organization Del Monte Foods and your technology group is this global and scope kind of how many end user do you have? How many sites? Can you give us a little bit of the speeds and feeds of what what was being considered, was it everything or some pieces, what was the impetus for the journey of the cloud? >> Ya, so we have about a thousand users, globally we are mostly in Manila, for our global share services our business back office work is done there and then most of it is U.S. footprint of plants and distribution centers and headquarters, et cetera operations. >> Alright so Chris, the SI partner for this cloud journey. So bring us a little bit of insight, bring us back to you know, kind of what was the business challenge and what was your teams role in helping along those journeys? >> The business challenge was getting Del Monte, getting the heart of their organization SAP to AWS quickly. Alright, there was a short time frame, I learned a lot about fruit packing during the project, but it was about how quickly could we get there? So, when we actually started, we started looking at taking seven months to do the migration of their environment. We really got into it and really got focused on what needed to be done. We looked at a lot of automation, put a lot of automation on the process, a very diligent approach, and we were able to do it, we thought we could do it in four months, and we did in three and a half months so very rapid, and I think as Chad will tell you we really kind of focused on building the right architecture, putting a lot of automation, and then also getting it in there with the right performance and then being able to tune things down, because you can you can move so quickly between engine sizes and memory and it was a really really exciting process to go through. >> Ya, so you said it originally we thought it was seven months, and it was good and done in half that time. That's not my experience with Enterprise Software roll outs. So, what was the delta there? How was the team able to move so fast? >> A lot of it was obviously AWS, being able to spin up the infrastructure, being able to automate a lot of the tasks that had to be done. Alright we did it threw three different environment sets. So we started diligent, moved to test, then went to production, and in each step we automated more and more of the process so we were able to condense the speed of the technical work that had to take place in a really short amount of time. >> We had to treat it also, like a mission critical thing across it wasn't just a infrastructure move it really the application guys were focused on this, we stopped all development of other activities going on. We really just kind of turned everybody and say "Let's get this done as soon as possible "and not be competing with each other." >> When you say stop everything, but of course the business didn't stop, but was transition pretty seamless. >> I mean other projects. >> Ya, ya, ya I understand, but I mean from the cut over and from your users stand point, did it go pretty smoothly? >> Oh definitely, these guys did an amazing job of putting together a plan that was really ready to be executed against. It took some, it took a lot of, I mean on my part it was really just to negotiate the extended maintenance window, but as far as the best compliment I ever got was people were like what did you do? Like I didn't even know that you guys did anything. From day one they took it and ran with it and we were stable. I mean it was pretty awesome. >> A black box, magic happens here and all of a sudden everything is running faster, scaling easier, cost is better, some of those types of thing? >> Ya, cocktails and beach time. >> Steve cocktails? I didn't realize that when I moved my enterprise application to cloud cocktails were involved. >> A few cocktails are involved. >> I mean look, I remember a few years ago where it was like well it's your development will do in the cloud, but I mean SAP has really raised cloud full boar and you know very strong partner, but bring us up to how does AWS help customers make sure that, this is critical things running the business, that it runs so smoothly. What have you learned along the way? What is different in 2018, then say it was even a year or two ago? >> A lot of great questions in there Stu, I would say this is become the new normal. Right? It use to be full disclosure, dev test, training type work loads in the early days but over the course of years we have taking a lot of learning with partners like Accenture and customers like Del Monte and we've taking those learnings and put them back into the platforms, so what you see today is a platform that a partner like Accenture could come in build a lot of automation tooling around, to reduce time frame from seven months down to three and a half. I think it was around two hundred servers, 50 of those were SAP related, and 25 terabytes of data that were moved in a short amount of time. So it's a combination of years worth of effort to build a platform that is scalable, resilient, and flexible. As well as the work that we have done directly with SAP that has gone right back into the platform. >> Chad bring us inside kind of operations on your team. What is the before and after? What's it look like? Was there change in personal or roles or skills? >> We transition services with our migration. So the Accenture team has taking over the long term operational activities as well as helping us through the migration efforts. We had a lot of preparation that was going on besides the server migration that was happening and I think what is really unique about them is because they can deliver these capabilities of the migration they have got a lot of the tooling and the automation is built into the operational mana services model as well. So it's been a much easier kind of hand over from those teams because we are working with the same vendor. >> Most of the time its not just that I've migrated from my environment to the cloud, but how does that enable the new services either Accenture from AWS from the marketplace. What has changed as to how you look at your SAP environment and kind of capability wise? >> It's just incredibly flexible now. It's just one of those situations where we can start small and we can scale so rapidly and it's like I feel like its kind of like walking into a fast food restaurant and just like oh, I'll take one of these, one of these, and one of these. You wait there and the food comes out, it just happens automatically. So, it's a great thing. >> Chris, I remember I interviewed a CEO a few years ago, and he said use to give me a million dollars in 18 months and I'll build you the Taj Mahal from my applications. Today I need to move faster and it's not a one time migration, but there's ongoing I've heard it a time and again there, so where does Accenture, it's not just the planning, where's Accenture involved? What is kind of the ongoing engagement? >> We go end to end. Right? So, we start out with strategy, we start out with a migration. The migration takes planning and execution, but really we focus on the run area as well using our Accenture platform and tooling that we have built. We really focus on how do you continue to optimize? How do you continue to improve performance? How do you govern? How do you do things like quota and security management and that type of stuff. I do think that a lot of our customers start with cloud think I can spin this stuff up, I can run it just like I ran my on premise data center and it's not the same. You go from a capacity planning person to a cost management person. You need to have a cloud architect understanding how you build your applications to be Cloud ready and AWS ready. There are a lot of great services, but if your not taking advantages of those services you can't auto scale, you can't do that stuff. So, we really help our clients go threw that entire process and make sure their getting the most value out of AWS all the way through the run for many years after they have done the migration. >> Chad, do you have any discussion of how are you reporting back to the business as to what were the hero numbers or success factors that said hey this was actually the right thing to do? >> Ya I mean we're a canned food company, so people are very interested in making sure that we are keeping our cost low. Most people from a business prospect want to talk to me about the efficiencies that their seeing and how's that going to show up a reduction in SG and A. We have seen it, I mean when you move to a group of people that can manage a larger set of infrastructure with a smaller group of people and the underline services can be turned on and off, so you only utilize what you really absolutely have. Those numbers show up on our bottom line. >> Steve, any other similar, what do you hear from customers when it comes to SAP, and what is the main driver, and what are the big hero things? >> So in the early days, it was all about cost right, driving cost out of the system. Now it's the flexibility, the ability to move quicker. Chad was relating earlier how you would spend a lot of time sizing environment and now there actually able to right size their environments using purpose built equipment the AWS has built for SAP. It's enabled them to actually reduce cost and move quicker. That's what we are hearing is common theme now these days. It's okay to move faster, to maybe not worry about sizing as much as we use to. >> Ya for future initiatives, I mean it's, there's all these windows of time that are just gone for us to stand up new services whether it's traditional application that needs servers and computer, whether it's SAP services, we are kind of all on that platform now where we can just click and plug in items much easier. >> Chad, what do things like digital transformation and innervation mean to a canned food company? >> We are desperately trying to get in touch of our consumer. So, whether were figuring out how to get improve kind of how we are managing our digital assets, how were managing, our pages on Amazon, or our pages on Walmart.com. We need to be much more in touch and much more consumer focused and a lot of these newer technologies, et cetera there built to run on AWS and we ready to kind of integrate that into our existing enterprise environment. >> Innervation has been a big part of our customers reason for moving to cloud. I'd say 18 months ago, we saw a big transition in our enterprise customers a lot of them were starting off with cost savings, for operational savings, just overall improvement of their operations, and then we seen about 18 months ago we saw a big shift of people very much focused on innervation and using AWS platform as that catalyst renovation. So, the businesses asking for Alexa apps, they're asking for the integration. Well, the SAP data has to be there to support that stuff. Right, and your enterprise tech has to be there, so by doing that it's enabled a lot of innervation in our processors. >> Chad, last question when you talk about innovation, are there certain areas that your team's investing in is it AI, is it IOT, you know what are some of the areas that you think will be the most promising and how do Accenture and AWS fit into those from your planning? >> Ya, I mean IOT is definitely an interesting area for us, and getting to a point where we can measure our effectiveness and our manufacturing processes, those are all really initiatives now that we're starting to focus on, now that we kind of gotten some of the infrastructure related stuff and were ready to kind of build out those platforms. We're talking about scaling out our OE software and our infrastructure its just such an easier conversation to kind of plan for those activities. We turned a three month sizing exercise as to how much IOT did and we think were going to have to process through these engines into a hey let's go with this and if it doesn't work then we'll take it out and increase the size. It really helps us deliver capabilities new capabilities and new types of ways of measuring or helping our business run in a much more effective and efficient way. >> Anything that you've learned along the way that you've turned to peers and say "Here's something I did, maybe do it faster or do it a little bit different way?" >> I think Accenture has been an amazing partner. I think a lot of people are skeptical about running their entire enterprise across the network and once you kind of bring them in and you really let them look under the cover of what you have. One of the reasons we went with them was just the trust and confidence that they had that we could do this. Once I kind of saw that it was like well I mean let's trust the process here. I mean these guys are the experts and so so that's been a big thing is just reach out learn about what people are doing. There's no reason why you can't do this. >> Well Chad, Chris, and Steve thank you both so much for highlighting the story of a customer's journey to the cloud.
